Cosmetic Acupuncture

Cosmetic acupuncture is sometimes known as a ‘Botox free facial’ - as it gives similar plumping and smoothing effects to Botox but without the chemicals. Very small needles are inserted into wrinkles and other areas that require attention on the face. Benefits include: a brighter complexion, reduction of acne scars, wrinkles, puffiness and saggy skin. Neal’s Yard Organic products are used to include a mini facial as part of the treatment.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)

MLD is a very gentle, intensely relaxing treatment focusing on the lymphatic system. MLD helps the body to process toxins by draining lymphatic fluid into the lymph nodes to be excreted from the body. It is excellent for reducing post operative swelling and bloating and is often recommended as aftercare by surgeons. MLD is so gentle that it is particularly beneficial for people suffering from autoimmune conditions such as MS/ME and Fibromyalgia. It can be useful for many conditions/illnesses e.g: Recurrent colds & flu, weakened immune system, stress, anxiety, insomnia, migraines, digestive issues, allergies and skin conditions to name a few. It is also very useful for children, elderly and very sensitive patients.

Scar Work

Scar work is a specialised therapy that mobilises the scar and the surrounding area. It is gentle and non-invasive, improving the look of a scar and helps to reduce tightness in the scar and surrounding areas. It can have a profound affect on local joints and the rest of the body. It is especially good for loosening adhesions and fibrosis in the scar which can cause pain and mobility issues. Scar work is beneficial for all kinds of scars, large or small, young or old. (Scars must be at least 6 weeks old, with the skin fully closed and no signs of infection present)
